2. RFK Jr. managed to get himself DQ'd from the NY state ballot.  His campaign will appeal, but it failed politics 101–get on the ballot.

3. Funny quote from the Trump campaign regarding their Colorado efforts in today's Denver Post:

   Trump’s campaign did not respond Monday to a request for information about its Colorado staffing plans. Earlier this year, it named former state Rep. Justin Everett as state director, but his duties were later shifted to help with the planning of last month’s Republican National Convention.

   A Trump spokesperson told Colorado Politics in June that the campaign would combine forces with the Republican National Committee to defeat Democrats this November, but “we do not feel obligated … to discuss the specifics of our strategy, timing and tactics with members of the News Media.”
    

   I guess when you know you're going to lose by double digits with only Dave Williams and his team of bozos to work with, there's no need to be even slightly polite to the press.

The context of the article was the Harris/Walz Colorado campaign beefing up their staff with several seasoned Colorado politicos.  Since the only indication from the Trump campaign concerned the reassignment of their so-called state director to other duties is essentially an admission that they got nuthin'

   Democrats Turn to Their National Security Go-To for Trump Assassination Inquiry

   last month, he was named the senior Democrat on a bipartisan task force to investigate the attempted assassination of Mr. Trump at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania.

   “Political violence is intolerable, and we have to set a tone that it’s not appropriate for our nation,” Mr. Crow said of the assignment.

   In his new role, Mr. Crow will work with Representative Mike Kelly, Republican of Pennsylvania and the chairman of the task force, to get to the bottom of the law enforcement failures that preceded the shooting last month.

5. Interacting with MAGA folks is just exhausting. They consider people who are not them to be inept or corrupt no matter what happens. It's pretty simple.

   Let's say Democrats are having a hard time getting things done because Republicans are getting in the way. When this happens MAGA folks tell everyone that we're inept. They say we're failures who are unable to get anything done and that makes them better than us.

   Now let's say Democrats are getting things done despite Republicans. When this happens MAGA folks tell everyone that we're corrupt. They say the only way we can succeed is if we are scheming and lying and cheating and that makes them better than us.

   (This rant is brought to you by Trump claiming that Harris's success at being the Democrat's candidiate for President is somehow corrupt because it's working.).
