I agree, David. It was an extremely well-written and well-delivered speech. What in Gods' universe made you think of Ronald "Raygun" ?
How about Churchillesque?…or Rooseveltesque? Kennedyesque? Or "Just about anyone else"…esque?
Clinton & Obama are also great speakers. And they are different in how they connect. For example Clinton is empathy & teaching and there's no one better at that approach.
Harris is like Reagan in that she talks of our going to a better tomorrow. Reagan was the shining city on the hilltop. Harris is creating endless possibilities. It's something that makes people see us making a better tomorrow.
It's still a lot of work to the election day. But I think last night she put herself well on the road to a landslide win.
I would go with Obamaesque. She was incredible. She's ready to be President!

I have heard that same comment with increasing frequency this AM. Ann Coulter embodies the MAGA ugliness. In fact, Trump isn’t hateful enough for her. She calls him a wimp.

Sen. John Hickenlooper (D-CO) announced Wednesday he will run for reelection in 2026 but added his second term will be his last,” Punchbowl News reports.
Said Hickenlooper: “I’m only going to do two terms. I said it first here. Two-term limit. Oath of conscience.”
I mean is Hickenlooper still in office? This means we'll have to wait another eight years before we can vote for Joe Neguse or Jason Crow (aka, the next generation) for CO US Senate. Bummer.
Well, Bennet's up in 4 years, and we'll see if ambition or exhaustion leads him along a different life path.
Somewhat anecdotal but I've driven across southern Minnesota east/west and north/south the past week. Lots of Hatris/Walz signs in Mankato, but on the rest of those routes, compared to the 2020 cycle where it seemed there was a Trump flag or sign on 80% of driveways and farmsteads, there's easily just 10-15% of that peak.
Trump exhaustion seems real here.
Of course, Walz served southern 'Sota in Congress for a number of terms, so that might've helped!
True, but these were the rural parts of his district (along with part of MN-7). It's the equivalent of my parts of eastern Colorado. Walz had enough urban in his congressional district to balance the uber-MAGA voting bloc. .

SAD! So the uber-environmental lawyer endorses the guy committed to gutting environmental protections. Huh. Those brain worms buried in deeper than we thought. I read once where his wife Cheryl Himes said she’d divorce him if he ever endorsed Trump. On the lighter side, Shanahan says she’s not going to endorse Trump unless he denounces Operation Warp Speed as a total failure. I’ll await the confession.

Sounds like Shanahan has the orange treason contraption over the barrel, right? Whatever anyone might say about braveheart bone spurs, he must remember what it felt like to be seriously down with early generation COVID, to be rescued by antibody treatment, and for the dagger – he got a vaccine in Jan. 2021 during the active time period of Operation Warp Speed. So, I'm guessing he's not likely to bow down to Shanny's demands to diss modern medicine like that, and that might also have a bit to do with her actual influence potential over electoral politics (I suspect it's not very strong).
