  1. Golly gee willikers, it seems as if Musk is using his $44 billion albatross which everyone still calls twitter to message or block messaging on TFG's behalf. There's a pretty good story in NYT about the whole tawdry bro-fair: https://www.nytimes.com/2024/10/11/us/politics/elon-musk-donald-trump-pennsylvania.html

After a reporter’s publication of hacked Trump campaign information last month, the campaign connected with X to prevent the circulation of links to the material on the platform, according to two people with knowledge of the events. X eventually blocked links to the material and suspended the reporter’s account.

  2. Just drove to DIA to fly out. The traffic to the Gaylord is backed up to the Boulder tollway interchange. At 9:15am.

Safe to say the event will be sold out. In a state that is not competitive.

Side note – our driver supported Biden but will never vote for a woman as president. So he's voting for Trump. Solely because he's male.

    1. Working in HR I've on more than one occasion asked directors who preferred to hire male managers (and you'd likely be shocked at how often that comes up)  exactly what part of the job were their managers doing with their penis….and if there was any part of their job for which they were using their penis, then we needed to have another conversation entirely.

I was generally greeted with blank stares.

Sorry your driver was an idiot.

  3. Why the New York Times sucks. H/T No More Mister Nice Blog

    Note the passive voice.

    The story begins:

"Wildly improbable conspiracy theories about Hurricanes Helene and Milton have spread largely unchecked on social media. The storms were engineered to clear the way for lithium mining. They were sent to help the Democrats in next month’s election. They were formed by weather-controlling lasers."

    Conspiracy theories "have spread"?

"… The falsehoods, which have been circulating on X, TikTok, YouTube and other platforms, can resemble the conspiracy theories that plague modern American politics. Prominent figures are pushing them, citing unrelated, misleading or outdated evidence."

Ummm, Prominent figures? Who might that be?
