It appears that both Senator Michael Bennet and Representative Diana DeGette have come out against Proposition 131; ranked choice voting.
If I'm not mistaken, that is the position of both Colorado GOP and Democratic parties. Basically, the thinking is it weakens both party's power to select candidates, and of course, it is a prelude to Kent Thiry buying elections, either for himself, or his pet causes.
That aspect does give me pause. I am a fan of ranked choice voting, but suspicious when wealthy people are pushing something. Is ranked choice a problem in our current unregulated campaign finance environment?
