The Democratic Party of Denver held its Re-Organization meeting yestersay which is required by law to happen every two years. This process includes the election of the officers to serve the next two years. Results below the fold

Chair – Cindy Lowery-Grabler Cindy was the re-elected without challenge.

Vice-Chair – Susan Rogers This was the only contested race of the officers. Susan challenged incumbent Jennier Jacobson. In addition to numerous positions within the party, Susan is also a former elected official as she was an Election Commissioner from 2003-2007.

Secretary – Julie Kronenberger Incumbent Secretary, Owen Perkins, chose not to run for a second term. Julie, formerly our fundraising chair, ran unopposed.

Treasurer – Ed Hall Was unopposed for re-election.

In addition to the County officers, each House and Senate District elected its officers who serve primarily to run their district’s assembly next year or any vacancy election that may arise in their district.

Also elected were the new captains and co-captains of the 18 subdistricts in Denver. These are the folks who make up most of the Executive Committee, which is the day-to-day working body of the party.

  1. It was a very long meeting but a lot of good discussion and I was very happy to see Cindy reelected as chair. She has done a great job and we are going to need real leadership with the fight coming next year!

    1. She seemed to have a lot of supporters there.  The other two candidates were making the rounds as well.  I think the guy out of Ft. Collins (blanking on his name) had a decent showing of support also.

      1. And Polly was definitely the better known of the candidates as she lives in Denver. The other two are from other parts of the state. BUt statewide, the Denver label may hurt Polly mopre than it helps.

The State Re-Org is going to be very interesting!
