  1. This is so Grand Junction. My wife is out helping her mom pack as she's moving in a couple of weeks. She drives over to the combination U-Haul and gun store to buy some boxes. The U-Haul half of the company is closed… But the gun half is open for business.

  2. Gor my Daily Beast e-mail. One of the article titles?

    Anthony Weiner won't pull out".

The possibilities are so endless, I think he'd better, ummm,  just pull out already. It's over.

    1. So you think that Wiener may ejaculate prematurely?

Of course, I mean, interject, exclaim, proclaim loudly, shout, before he is expected to. What did you think I meant?

To paraphrase Queen Victoria: the New York electorate should just lay back and think about the Royal Baby.

  3. Update from the Coo-Coo's Nest:

At one of Saturday's workshops, titled "Crafting Your Public Image," political strategist Ron Nehring said conservatives need to do a better job of reaching voters.

"I'm not saying you have to change your beliefs," Nehring said. "But you have to shape your message to resonate with your target audience."

    1. Exactly what are their proposals for "shaping" the message on policies that treat women like morons who don't know what's good for themselves in a way that will make more women like those policies? How are they going to find an appealing way to present policies aimed at making it as difficult as possible for minorities and young people to vote to get more of those groups on board?

Ditto with policies that slash jobs that pay well, create more low income workers and then make it more difficult for low income workers to feed their families and have access to healthcare,  policies that make it harder for students to have access to higher education,  policies that keep growing the gap between tiny numbers of economic winners and increasing numbers of economic losers, policies that threaten seniors' social security and medicare benefits? How are they going to convince voting American citizens from Hispanic backgrounds that they don't represent bigotry when they make stars out of the the most obvious bigots at their events?

       Jedi mind control, perhaps?

      1. Yes, basically.

They have to try to establish their message as some lofty goal "Improve Women's Health" rather than the practical effects "More women dying from inadequate pre-natal care, or back-ally abortions"

Or "Prevent voter fraud" rather than "Protect our Gerrymandered districts to prevent majority representation"
