UPDATE: We're getting word of a "no confidence" resolution against Colorado Republican Party chairman Ryan Call being approved by a number of GOP precincts tonight. We'll update with more information once available.

Caucus is often not that meaningful. Givent he recent events- it's pointless. The party elite does what they want. Just ask governor Maes.
Definitely a boring night on the Dem side.
Ours was over in an hour…
Not much being contested on the Dem side, that's for sure. But good interest in Gilpin County for such an uncontested off year.
HD 2 was done in less than an hour, save for 1 precinct that got to wrangling over the platform.
Idle curiosity: did caucuses give a clear front-runner in HD2?
Garnett. Then Silverstein.
Perkins didn't make 20% And there was one other guy I'd NEVER heard of.
Assuming you mean my precinct 211, we weren't wrangling. We had a very useful discussion that served to help educate one unafiliated voter who attended as my guest. I know platforms are no big deal. but ideas do have meanings in politics and I think our two hours was well spent.
So that's what was going on! All we knew was that we were waiting for one last group. But that's a good reason for the delay. We probably saw each other and didn't even know it. My wife was the site coordinator.
Only news of the evening from HD 29 is that former Rep. Robert Ramirez is challenging current Rep. Tracy Kraft-Tharp for his old house seat.
Because I have been so critical of the grassroots efforts of the Democratic Party, It is only fair to admit I did not go to my caucus. I certainly can legitimately be criticized for my decision – that was made at the last minute based on weather. I tried to rationalize that if there were low turnout, it might
be a "wake up" call. But I did not go. So, I did not put my money where my mouth is. I have a great committeewoman and I expect she took roll and I will get a call! I will probably have to hand out 100 flyers as punishment. Fair enough.
Listen to talk radio, this am, a lot of calls from repubs about their caucus reports. Randy Corporon (sp?) of the new Morning Show on KLZ560 is a tea party member and he spoke very honestly about his experience. He ran to be
a delegate to the State Assembly and lost by three votes. He wondered out loud if he had not identified as a tea party member, he would have been elected. Very interesting conversation from callers ensured. Most of the talk was about the tea party and the "establishment" republicans. I heard only two preference votes on the governor race: One was Beauprez 27; Tancredo 25 and Gessler 23. The other also had Beauprez ahead of Tancredo by a few
points.
Is there any reason that Democratic candidate Vic Meyersis not listed as a candidate for CD-4 in The Big Line?
Probably for the same reason no one but Degette is listed in CD1.
Maybe because when you divide by zero you get an undefined number?
he is, but you have to go to the Big Line page to see him. The box at the top only holds four names
I personally enjoyed the heck out of caucus night. I found out that my co chair and I will probably cancel each other's delegate votes, I got to ask my state rep's press secretary why he never returns my calls or emails, and I approved inclusion of a clause on keeping the endangered species act on the voting list for the state assembly. Good times!
