healthcare uninsured rate keeps dropping : http://www.gallup.com/poll/180425/uninsured-rate-sinks.aspx
From Greg Sargent's Plum Line today:
"AND YOUR DEPRESSING POLL FINDING OF THE DAY: A new poll from Fairleigh Dickinson University’s PublicMind finds:
Interestingly, those who were unable to answer all three were more likely to believe Obama is not a U.S. citizen and that we found a weapons of mass destruction program in Iraq."
Anyone surprised in the least by any of this? I genuinely fear for my country's future with so many complete right-wing dimwits, imbeciles and brainless morons running around shrieking mindlessly. Until these people pass permanently from the scene, there can be no hope for our nation.
Polls routinely show the bill of rights would not pass muster with the electorate if you simply state the amendments as propositions and don't say they are already part of the constitution. But look on the bright side: that means we really do have a chance to take Moddy's guns away!
Day 1: Colorado villages statewide struggle with the quandary of coping without their idiots . . .
(. . . don't pretend you didn't realize there was a good reason why they continue to elect so many of these unrepentant serial fools?!?)
Have I missed a story about state Senate Committees? It appears that there is a Senate Ethics Committee, but no Senators appointed to the committee. A committee with no members? Republican leadership doesn't expect a need for an Ethics committee? Anyone know?
I don't believe there's a standing committee on ethics. Ethics committees are formed ad hoc based on procedures outlined in the respective houses' rules of procedure.
There is a Legislative Ethics Board of four members appointed by the maj/min leaders in each house, but they're around to issue opinions (all three of which can be found in the same location linked above). It might be the leaders themselves who are members on the board, but it's too irrelevant to report. You could probably call Legislative Legal Services and find out, if you're curious.

From the, "as it turns out, some press is bad press" and "thank goodness they do not represent you" departments – Kirby Delauter:
Has Chaps filed his first bill title yet? If so, anything good? 🙂
Whew! I was so busy exorcising the Capitol restrooms, I didn't have time to get the first bill in today.
Couldn't sleep, so I prayed in Jesus name. His answer? Exorcise all the demonic rules promulgated by the executive branch.
Oh Personhood, we missed you so. Who had day 1 in the pool?
