So much for his masquerade as someone not at all extreme on social issues and who will work across the aisle to solve the gridlock in DC. Not that anyone who ever actually paid attention, including the wacko righties who were correctly convinced he was just doing the wink, wink thing to get elected, was fooled. Unfortunately only a tiny percent do pay attention. As long as you don't come right out and cynically announce it, every election really can be an Etch-A-Sketch opportunity, for better or worse.
