Liberalism and Foreign Policy
Nobody cares about the cartoons you pass on from GOTP la la land.
Jobs for Jihadis
Ya can't make this stuff up. Per Colorado's own, MIchelle Malkin:
Muslim jihadists chopped off the heads of 21 Egyptian Coptic Christians in Libya last weekend.
Muslim jihadists launched deadly shooting sprees in Copenhagen at a cartoonists’ free-speech event and a synagogue.
Muslim jihadists murdered Jews at a kosher deli in Paris and slaughtered the entire staff of Charlie Hebdo over their drawings.
Muslim jihadists caged and burned alive Jordanian pilot Moaz al-Kasasbeh.
Muslim jihadists threw gays off buildings in Iraq.
Muslim jihadists beheaded journalists James Foley and Steven Sotloff, humanitarian workers Alan Henning and Peter Kassig, and Japanese nationals Haruna Yukawa and Kenji Goto Jogo.
Muslim jihadists have kidnapped and slaughtered thousands of innocent men, women, and children in Nigeria.
The solution, the Obama administration wants the 60 nations that sent representatives to D.C. to learn, is a super-sized community-organizing campaign. It’s Jobs for Jihad Delinquents!

Send us a post card from Syria. I hear it's beautiful in the Springtime.
For the more intellectually inclined Polsters. A clear analysis from the WSJ of why Obama lost on his executive amnesty program.
The Obama administration argued that DAPA is a routine application of “prosecutorial discretion”—the authority of executive officials to set priorities for enforcement of the law and to refrain from enforcement in cases where the public interest is least urgent. The district court recognized, however, that prosecutorial discretion is limited to nonenforcement and doesn’t entitle the executive branch to grant affirmative benefits such as work permits and welfare without statutory authority and notice-and-comment rule-making.
As the court explained, “DHS has not instructed its officers to merely refrain from arresting, ordering the removal of, or prosecuting unlawfully-present aliens.” Instead the department “has enacted a wide-ranging program that awards legal presence, to individuals Congress has deemed deportable or removable, as well as the ability to obtain Social Security numbers, work authorization permits, and the ability to travel.”

I stopped at "Andrew Carnegie says". Didn't read your cartoon either. Didn't have to. I've decided to tweak your Obama rule. if AC says it or shares it must be incredibly stupid. My rule rests on a far sounder foundation than the GOTP Obama rule.
Someone needs their diaper changed.

Oklahoma Bill Banning AP US History Would Make Students Study Ten Commandments, 3 Speeches By Reagan
http://thinkprogress.org/education/2015/02/18/3624062/oklahoma-bill-banning-ap-us-history-make-students-study-ten-commandments-3-speeches-reagan/
Never know, that might turn out to be positive step for Oklahoma . . .
. . . sounds like a great deal more history than most GOPers have ever read?!?
In a relative world, just finding a few Oklahoma legislators not wanting to burn books, or just using the paper to wipe their ass in the outhouse, is a big step towards modernity.
Given this is coming from a state where they needed to pass a law "forbidding one to be found with the hind legs of an animal in your boots", is anyone surprised?
I think that hind legs in boots thing needs further clarification.
Oklahoma: where men are men and the sheep are nervous…
That's what I figured.
That's Wyoming!
. . . where sheep dipping is an officially sanctioned State historical recreation!
(Anyone think that "the Daddy of them all" was a reference to rodeo or rhinestone cowfellas? . . . )
I'd rather drink my Sheep Dip (we have a new family tradition of drinking the brew at the cemetery and throwing what's left in the hole…it's an old southern Presbyterian tradition).
Our state appears to be surrounded by 'manly men' and 'nervouse sheep'….
When I visited Scotland, I was walking across the glen when I saw a man holding a sheep with its back legs planted in his wellies.
"Are you shearing that sheep?" I asked.
"Nay! laddie!" he replied. "Get yer own!"
Corporate Takers, Subsidized Industrial Ag, Banker/Thieves = Good; Poor, Lazy Slacker Takers = Bad
So far, Michael Bennet and Hillary Clinton are clearly on the path of reinforcing Republican lies about our economy and advocating for the rich over the poor. The election in 2016 may make or break Democrats' affair with Wall St.. If they were smart, they'd make it obvious to voters now, if not yesterday, that they won't play the stupid Blue Dog/Fix the Debt/Triangulation game any longer. Because in the long run it'll be the votes that count, not the campaign contributions from their rich friends.
You're assuming voters have a clue. Like I said, if it's going to be DLC darling HRC, who apparently is having trouble coming up with any coherent message other than "Dammit, it's my turn", against a third dynastic Bush, just wake me when it's over.
Seriously, if anyone here can tell me why exactly HRC wants the job, besides just wanting the job, and what exactly she believes in and wants to acomplish, besides being the first woman prsident, I'd honestly like to hear it because I honestly have no idea. Not being snarky. I invite HRC fans to fill me in, if they woud be so kind. I'm going to vote for her if she runs because there isn't an R on the planet I believe wouldn't worse in the WH, but I'd like to feel that there are better reasons than, at least she isn't a Republican.
Sorry I forgot to spell check.
D's can give them a clue. Hey, for $170K Bennet might be bothered….
They can but it's not so much about money. Bennet's great for collecting money. It's about Dem pols growing a pair. When's the last time we've seen any evidence of that?
Gee. Maybe I should rethink this. Here are the top 10 reasons to vote Republican…..
http://www.dailykos.com/story/2011/09/25/1020037/-Top-10-reasons-to-vote-Republican?detail=email
Yup, and I bet AC and Moddy are damn proud to support all 10 reasons!
They're probably raising money now to have Dick Cheney and George W. Bush's images on Mount Rushmore to replace those two notorious RINO's — Lincoln and Roosevelt!
"Mistakes were made in Iraq," said Jebby Bush today. Hmmmm…… I wonder by whom those mistakes were made. Gotta love that passive voice.
Moddy,Worm, care to comment?
Probably the same cat that said that missions were accomplished.
In case anyone has forgotten just how low Jeb is willing to go to pander to the wacko "religious" right, just how much pain and anguish he's willing to impose for the sake of appealing to wacko base, just what a heartless bully he is:

Let me see if I have this right. Patrick Neville had to wait too long for a gun purchase check to clear. (Wasn't that reported last week?) Morgan Carroll has an amendment to a funding bill to appropriate more money to hire more technicians to do checks which will speed up the process. The Republicans in the state Senate vote down her amendment on a party line vote. Am I missing something here?
I'm pretty sure you're not.
Ahh, Grand Junction. Like our own little Oklahoma.
Keynote speaker at energy forum appears to be an anti-science conspiracy theorist
The 10th Annual GJ Energy Expo and Forum will be held at the Two Rivers Conv. Center on Friday Feb. 27. (http://www.energyexpoco.com/visitor_information.cfm)
The keynote speaker (scheduled for 1:30pm) is John Casey, the president, registered agent, and sole in-house employee of Space and Science Research Corporation, located just a few miles from Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida.
The speaker lineup was largely set by a small subset of the forum’s planning committee. These three key players are Kathy Hall, Bonnie Peterson and George Rossman. My understanding is that Bonnie Peterson was responsible for the invitation extended to John Casey. Casey is a bit player among climate deniers. It does not appear to me that he has received much attention outside of Florida tea party groups and Newsmax.com. So how he came to the attention of folks from Grand Junction escapes me.
Casey’s claim is that he can predict climate change on Earth from sunspot counts. He has a couple of “reports” linked at the bottom of this page: (http://spaceandscience.net/id64.html). One of them was “pal-reviewed.” These reports might be of the quality for an above average high school term paper, but they do not stack up to the standards of original scientific research (they don’t measure up as scientific reviews either, even though he claims to have conducted an “exhaustive” literature review).
You can find more about him by googling “John Casey SSRC.”
I am concerned that we have a anti-science conspiracy theorists being brought to our homes to speak at a venue that claims to bring together “the most visionary participants” and makes that claim that its purpose is “aimed at educating the public about energy issues, best practices and companies engaged in energy.”
Co-hosts of the forum are listed on the Energy Expo/Forum homepage http://www.energyexpoco.com/ and include: AGNC, Club 20, Colorado Mesa University, Colorado Mountain College, Grand Junction Chamber of Commerce, and the John McConnell Math & Science Center. (The last group has expressed great consternation about being linked to pseudo-science / anti-science.)
Sponsors of the forum are listed on this page: http://www.energyexpoco.com/vendor_sponsors.cfm and include: FCI Constructors, Inc., ANB Bank, Enserca, KREX News Ch. 5, WPX Energy, Double Tree Hotels, Western Metals Recycling, Colorado Mining Association, Townsquare Media, HRL Compliance Solutions, Inc., and Energyfromshale.org.
Vendors in the past have included numerous local energy companies, including oil and gas, solar, and various service providers.
