Another GOP County Commish Wants U.S. Senate Race Mention

  • by: Colorado Pols

That’s the word from former Denver Post reporter Lynn Bartels, now a spokesperson for the Colorado Secretary of State while keeping up her now-avocational social media reporting of political comings and goings:

That’s Jeffco commissioner Don Rosier, in case you were wondering about the spelling. Rosier is a fairly ambitious no-namer who we have heard speak a few times at local Republican events–we wouldn’t call him bad on stage, just not very, well, remarkable. In a growing field of similarly unknown contenders vying for a longshot run at incumbent Sen. Michael Bennet, we honestly don’t see what he brings to the table to differentiate himself.

But he’s another log on the fire.

  1. Is Williams paying Bartels for her "avocational" reporting the same way her former employer paid for her "avocational" misreporting and shilling??

  2. One would think that if the Republicans are really serious about taking Bennet out, they'd pick a guy and back him all the way. It looks like their primary votes are scattered six ways from Sunday.

  3. Guess all these no names figure since nobody's going to beat Bennet they may as well use the early stage to get their names out there on the every little bit helps in getting some attention principle. If anybody thought there was a chance of actually taking this seat, we wouldn't still be seeing new "contenders" every 15 minutes.

  4. Yep, his six year term will be up next year and he needs to find a new job.  Apparently Jeffco Repub commissioners are only allowed to serve one and a half terms, then must exit to allow another to get some name recognition.  I guess county clerk is already taken.

Don has been under the delusion that he has a future in politics for some time now.  His six years have been focused on spending millions of Jeffco tax dollars to learn that the Jeffco tollway will never pay for itself without some tax money.  Which he would never mention because he's a good Repub.
