    1. An interesting one.  His new willingness to reach out to Chuck and Nancy offers opportunities to ameliorate his worst traits.

I'd put the Trumpstink level at about 3.8.

  1. Liberals say free public college is unicorns and ponies

The Senate’s Military Spending Increase Alone Is Enough to Make Public College Free

Those concerns were brushed aside Monday night, as the Senate overwhelmingly approved an $80 billion annual increase in military spending, enough to have fully satisfied Sanders’s campaign promise. Instead, the Senate handed President Donald Trump far more than the $54 billion he asked for. The lavish spending package gives Trump a major legislative victory, allowing him to boast about fulfilling his promise of a “great rebuilding of the armed services.”

Eight Senators voted against, three of them Republicans.  See if you can find yours. #Resistance

    1. Rafael Eduardo Cruz voted "Yes" on this spending bill. He's really getting with the Program as far as voting to spend $$$ after learning to do so with the disaster relief $$$ following Harvey. Plus he's running for re-election next year.

You have to hand it to Rand Paul and Mike Lee. They stand their ground.

    2. Of course Michael Bennet voted for increasing military spending even with the most incompetent ignorant militaristic MotherFucker ever to be president. Why wouldn't he vote for more weapons in Trump's hands?

(And there's your Hero Democratic Senator-for-Life from Colorado, Pols-sters.)

  2. The Ensteins of the Faux Morning show getting schooled by Dr. Oz on marijuana.  The Dooche is shocked! shocked!, I tell you, at being exposed to a few uncomfortable factoids on the plant:

‘Wow’: Dr. Oz leaves Fox & Friends horror-struck by springing pro-marijuana rant as segment ends

“The real story is the hypocrisy around medical marijuana,” Oz said as the Fox & Friends hosts appeared stunned. “People say marijuana is a gateway drug to narcotics; it may be the exit drug to get us out of the narcotic epidemic.” (emphasis mine)

“Wow!” exclaimed co-host Steve Doocy, who is known for mocking marijuana users with the phrase “all potted up.”

“We’re not allowed to study it because it’s a Schedule I drug,” Oz added. “And I personally believe it could help.”

“I hadn’t heard that before,” Doocy gasped as he quickly ended the segment.

  3. Hadn't heard that before? How dumb is this guy? And they let him run a news show? Well, as much news as you're ever likely to get from FixedNews. Michael, where is the opioid epidemic worst? In the blood-red states where the politicians are most stubbornly resistant to cannabis. Am I right?

    1. Complicated, with a two-fold answer: red states are a mixed bag on legalization of cannabis (while simultaneously being the most affected communities by the opioid epidemic)

Study: Communities Most Affected By Opioid Epidemic Also Voted For Trump

So I started looking at the data, especially within regions of the country where the opiate epidemic has received a lot of attention. And what I found was that Trump outperformed the previous Republican candidate Mitt Romney the most in counties with the highest drug, alcohol and suicide mortality rates.

  4. Honestly, you couldn't make this stuff up (not satire)

Wife of Trump’s ethics adviser caught doing nasty with inmate in her car

The wife of a prominent Republican Party attorney who also serves as Donald Trump’sethics advisor was arrested and charged with “having sex with a 23-year-old inmate in the backseat of her car outside a Virginia prison.”

Teresa Jo Burchfield, 53, is married to Bobby Burchfield, who serves as ethics advisor to Trump’s businesses. He also represented George W. Bush during the 2000 lawsuit demanding a recount in Florida.

  5. I'll bet Fluffy fell for this one, too…

Shall we add "grossly irresponsible use of time travel" to the list of things Hillary Clinton has done to harm America?

A little trip down memory lane:

First North Korean test of a nuclear weapon:
    October 9th, 2006

    U.S. President: George W. Bush.
    Secretary of State: Condoleezza Rice
