UPDATE #2: The kiss of death.

—–

UPDATE: And this one…

Sen. Cory Gardner (right) exiting Air Force One with President Trump Tuesday afternoon.

—–

Guess who was the third person to deplane from Air Force One this afternoon in West Virginia?

Via CNN

Yup, that’s Sen. Cory Gardner (R-Yuma). You’ll be seeing a lot more of these pictures.

  1. How appropriate that our own Con Man Cory is the chief butt-kisser today.

    As the Editorial Board of the New York Times puts it: All the President’s Crooks

    From the start of the Russia investigation, President Trump has been working to discredit the work and the integrity of the special counsel, Robert Mueller; praising men who are blatant grifters, cons and crooks; insisting that he’s personally done nothing wrong; and reminding us that he hires only the best people.

    On Tuesday afternoon, the American public was treated to an astonishingsplit-screen moment involving two of those people, as Mr. Trump’s former campaign chief was convicted by a federal jury in Virginia of multiple crimes carrying years in prison at the same time that his longtime personal lawyer pleaded guilty in federal court in New York to his own lengthy trail of criminality, and confessed that he had committed at least some of the crimes “at the direction of” Mr. Trump himself.

    Let that sink in: Mr. Trump’s own lawyer has now accused him, under oath, of committing a felony.

    Also remember we still don’t know anything about the ultimate fate of several other Trump associates who have been under Mr. Mueller’s microscope, including Roger Stone, Carter Page and Donald Trump Jr. (“If it’s what you say I love it especially later in the summer”).

    For a witch hunt, Mr. Mueller’s investigation has already bagged a remarkable number of witches. Only the best witches, you might say.

  2. I guess we know where Cory is, not meeting with Coloradans but sucking orange  … uhh, toe on the campaign trail servicing Trump, in West Virginia propping up Coal and who knows what bat-shit treasonous banter from the High Criminal-in-Chief.

  3. Quite the day …

    • Cohen in FBI custody, pleads to 8 counts, directly says he worked at the direction of the *resident;
    • Omarosa's video shows Cohen getting on a campaign plane in September, 2016;
    • I've not read anyone with explicit details to say the pleas from Cohen are the ONLY crimes he may be charged with nor is there anything that says he will or will not be cooperating with prosecutors from SDNY or the Special Counsel.
    • Michael Avenatti looks at the Cohen plea and says: "The developments of today will permit us to have the stay lifted in the civil case & should also permit us to proceed with an expedited deposition of Trump under oath about what he knew, when he knew it, and what he did about it. We will disclose it all to the public."
    • Manafort convicted on 8 counts; 10 other counts are a mistrial, with prosecution indicting their preference for further action by August 29;
    • Christopher Steele dossier defamation case dismissed by the judge;
    • Bronx Supreme Court Judge Fernando Tapia denied Trump’s motion to dismiss allegations of assault and battery, destruction of property and negligent hiring and supervising, saying that a jury could find that Trump “authorized and condoned” the guards’ conduct. The case was brought against six defendants, including then-presidential candidate Trump, the Trump Organization and Trump security director Keith Schiller, three months after Trump announced his candidacy.
    • and in non-Presidential Republican news: Rep. Duncan Hunter indicted for campaign fund misappropriation.

    Did I miss anything?

    1. Holy crap. That's the first I heard about the  Bronx case. So protesters were in front of Trump Tower, and Trump's thugs went out and roughed them up back in 9/16?

      It's almost petty compared to the bigger conspiracy and collusion charges, but it does show the Mafioso nature of the Trump Organization.

    2. Tonight on Maddow, Cohen's lawyer said he was interested in fully co-operating with the Special Counsel's office. Topics to include Trump's advance knowledge of the Trump Tower meeting and of Russian hacking.

      That's a mighty big statement; Lanny Davis – Cohen's lawyer – wrapped it in legal "possibilities", but the implication is as clear as Cohen's not-naming of the President in his guilty plea.

      Oh, also – the National Enquirer was also not-named in Cohen's plea in both of the campaign fraud charges.

  4. I doubt our local, "liberal biased" paper will print any of those photos of Cory demurely being one step behind Trumps behind.  Can't portray the con man as a total stooge.  Fortunately there are photos of Cory being on Air Force One today of all days.  What a telling development for the 2020 elections.

  5. How does Cory face the man in the mirror? (When he does his morning smiling practice Exercises)?

     ”tax cuts, Supreme Court”.  Grin 3 times trying different angles.  Repeat set 10 times.
