Ganahl's Desperation Leads To Politics' Darkest Hole

With the Republican Party primary election just one week away and GOP candidate for governor Hiedi Heidi Ganahl facing unexpectedly stiff competition from former Parker Mayor Greg Lopez after months of flailing on the campaign trail, Ganahl is running out of time and options to get her message favorably in front of Republican primary voters. At several points throughout Ganahl’s struggling campaign, she has called in favors with big names on the ideological far right to bolster her poor name recognition: national conservative commentator Dennis Prager, fringe frat boy sensation Charlie Kirk, and as of today her latest in-kind contribution op-ed published by Steve Bannon’s War Room.

Yes, that Steve Bannon.

Ganahl’s op-ed transitions seamlessly into an electioneering pitch after another warmed-over rehash of Ganahl’s “Mom on a Mission” stump speech, but the content isn’t really what’s important. Looking at the latest articles posted to War Room, we see that Ganahl is now in proud company with such luminaries on the far right as Alaska’s wacky homophobic Senate candidate Kelly Tshibaka, “RiNO Hunter” Eric Greitens, and even alt-right (that means straight-up racist) edgelord Mike Cernovich. That’s before we even talk about Steve Bannon, one of a very select few Americans at the highest insider level of the plot to overturn the 2020 presidential elections and generally agreed to be one of the most personally vile characters in modern American politics.

Much like Heidi Ganahl’s “fantastic” friend John Eastman.

Ganahl pandering to the nether reaches of the alt-right shouldn’t come as a surprise, though it does signal desperation and fear about the outcome of next Tuesday’s primary. At this point, even if Ganahl does prevail, this primary has left her far more compromised than Ganahl ever imagined going into the general election. Ganahl’s arrogant attempts to sidestep the “divisive questions” completely backfired, and focused attention on the subjects she didn’t want to discuss.

And with her actions, Heidi Ganahl is answering those “divisive questions.”

  1. How sad. At the eleventh hour, she is trying to be Glenn Youngkin.

What is even sadder? I'm forced to vote for her in the primary because she is not a wife beater.

  2. I'm sorta curious … if

Polis and his Democratic friends want to buy GOP primary votes, so that they can sell Coloradans down the river when he sails into re-election this November. So far, they have spent three million dollars funding my opponent, a weaker candidate Polis knows he can beat.

Lopez has been funded with $3 million?  Tracer says:

    Candidate:…………..raised……………….spent…………
    GANAHL, HEIDI $1,140,191.65….. $994,964.36

    LOPEZ, GREG …….$140,374.96 …..$123,233.85

in fact, Tracer says the entire race, ALL candidates, as of the June 13 reports:

Total Raised This Race = $7,906,267.29    Total Spent This Race = $3,220,669.97

So, can someone follow the money????
