Sometimes, one's campaign swag leaves little to the imagination. Definitely the case with 2013 recall organizer-turned GOP Pueblo County Clerk candidate Victor Head:
We're trying to figure out what's worse: that Mr. Head thinks "Everyone Loves Head" is an appropriate slogan for a serious campaign for office, or that only females are wearing this shirt in the photo on Head's Facebook page?
Yes, the answers to these questions are obvious, and eww.

What a dick.
What? That's not just the Head? That's the whole dick?
So sad.
I have no idea how somebody with a easily constructed double meaning for a last name hasn't already thoroughly exhausted all the amusement they'll ever get by the time they graduate high school.
On a related note, I saw a campaign sign in Greeley the other day that said "Steve Reams Sheriff"
It got the attention of CPols, I'd say working as intended.
To announce that he has the sensibilities of a 14 year old boy?
I'm not saying Lincoln-Douglas level of political discourse, but he wanted attention, and he got it.
As I have explained to my own child, there is a difference between good attention and bad attention.
Yup. Show somebody that picture , then ask if they're more likely or less likely to vote for him.
I think you greatly underestimate the ability of puns to sway the electorate he's gunning for with that slogan
Doubt he'll be able to keep it up for long.
Yuk, yuk!
Meiner! I should wash your mind out with soap.Go to your room!
Is he a Tea Bagger too???
Thankfully, Clerk Ortiz is taking the high road. The calculation on Mr. Head's part must be something like:
"I know I have no chance at being elected, don't know what I'd do in the position if I did get elected, since I'm a 28-year old unlicensed plumber, who's never done anything in politics except use a bunch of dark money to recall a sitting Senator. Sooooo….I might as well have some fun."
Remember what that used to mean?
Totally lacking any class, or maturity…something needed for the ofice he is seeking.
Head has already demonstrated he is totally without scruples when he bragged (during testimony at the senate committee hearing) that he lied to get people to sign the recall petition. Sorry that too many of the good people of Pueblo fell for the antics of this buffoon.
Also, Beavis and Butthead sex humor is the rubric of those who can't get laid.
Really don't want to consider Mr. Head's sex life. I have to call in my friend here to clean my computer screen of that image.
I have that site bookmarked, too, Mama. Thanks for saving me the trouble of calling Pup-pup myself.
It has been many years since I lived in Pueblo and my ties with people there are tenuous, at best. But, my take is that Puebloans are culturally conservative and would be insulted by the T-shirts and understand that Head is really expressing his contempt for them.
He will alienate part of his base, no doubt. (The older voters). He'll charm the younger ones, who will think that this is hilarious. Classic mistake of the young is to imagine that everyone is like oneself.
If the guys were also wearing the shirt it would have just been a juvenile joke in questionable taste to some, amusing to others. The fact that it's only the women does tend make the guys and, by extension the candidate they support, look kind of like gutless, homophobic misogynists hangin' with empty headed young women.
He jumped the shark on that.
It's mildly funny, at first glance, but yeah, it's an insult. To be considered a real candidate, to be taken seriously, to shake the one issue extremist tag, he ad to be LESS radical, not more.
Then again, maybe ole vic's just havin' fun, doesn't really care about actually being part of the system, just wants to get as outrageous as he can.
Here's hopin' he was up front about that to the two young ladies that have that picture to answer for in the future.
I have little to say on the subject…
And why would that be, Duke, my lad?
Interesting. I would have thought that this particular candidate would have chosen a slogan more appropriate to his person? Perhaps, something like:
"Everyone loves a gun-sucker" ??
