Trump Releases FIRST Presidential Campaign Ad

Republican Presidential frontrunner Donald Trump released his first campaign advertisement today.

Think about that for a moment: The man who has consistently polled at the top of the Republican field of Presidential candidates hasn’t produced a single TV advertisement until now. Trump earns so much free media coverage that he hasn’t really needed to go up with his own campaign ads, but it is still stunning to consider that he hasn’t done anything with paid TV ads until today.

You can watch the ad below, which doubles-down on Trump’s controversial call to temporarily ban all Muslims from entering the United States.

Trump tells the Washington Post that he has “six to eight ads” currently in production.

    Confronted about falsely attributed footage in its first TV ad, the Trump campaign responds: “no sh*t.”

    If you watched the first official Trump television ad released today, you might have noticed that America’s “southern border” didn’t look much like any image of the same you’ve ever seen before.

    This is because, as PolitiFact explains, the footage used during the ad’s voice-over about Trump’s plan to build a wall along America’s southern border is not actually footage of the southern border, or even of America. The footage actually depicts a small town in mainland Morocco, which first aired on an Italian network in 2014. 

    Of course, this being the Trump campaign, there was no soft-spoken apology. Instead, when confronted about the misattribution, Trump’s campaign manager had this to say:

    TRUMP CAMPAIGN MNGR: "No shit its not the Mexican border but thats what our country is going to look like if we don't do anything."
