That quote about fostering being his primary source of income really steams me. That money isn't supposed to be income, it's supposed to be money for the children.
It's unfortunately quite common. There are many, many "professional foster parents", and they get away with it because there are never enough homes for all of the children who need them.

Of course he was – just like every other important figure in US history prior to whichever modern-day right-wing blowhards they nominated as their heroes within the past year.
Rockefeller's problem is that, like his fellow robber barons, he believed in noblesse oblige. When was the last time you saw the Koch brothers do something so kind as to build a public space?
