Just drove by the small Obama field office on the corner of W. 38th & Lowell in northwest Denver–and there are about 30 cheering people waving McCain-Palin signs on the sidewalk. Obviously these poor Republican activists haven’t identified any supporters to call and canvass. Maybe we could take up a collection and send them to Mississippi or someplace a bit more promising for them? God knows it’s not in Colorado’s HD 4!

How can you make fun of people who are trying to get others involved in the political process?
If all they were doing was waving signs and cheering, more power to them. They’re just doing the same exact thing we’re going to be doing this weekend–GOTV.
I disagree with their candidate’s positions, but at least give them credit for trying,
It’s just embarrassingly misplaced since HD 4 is the highest performing democratic district in the entire state. Personally, I think it’s political malpractice of the McCain campaign to send activists who actually want to make a difference to do something like this. Because it was obviously an organized event. A much better use of their time would be to make phone calls, knock on doors or wave signs in Jeffco or Arapahoe County.
Maybe I misread your intent.
I’m feeling very empathetic towards Republicans today. Not the party higher-ups, but the sign wavers, the ordinary citizens.
McCain misplaced him somewhere.
