We’ll update more as this story progresses, but for now, here’s the update from Secretary of State Wayne Williams’s spokesperson, Lynn Bartels:

Petition problems? Signature concerns? Who cares about laws and rules!

      1. Well, Frazier can always imitate Steve Hogan who has been in some sort of office for most of the time since I moved to Colorado 35 years ago.

Speaking of Hogan, he is one of three long time local politicians who are long overdue for retiring, or being retired. The others are Debbie Ortega in Denver and Faye Griffin in JeffCo.

        1. Love me some Debbie Ortega! She was my councilperson in Denver for years, (now at-large) with deserved grassroots support, and deserving of being re-elected to her 30 year terms. Long may she gavel!

I would think you would like her, CHB, because of her support of park lands, open space, and environmental justice in the Denver area.

            1. Perhaps I would like her, as a person. Anyone in office for 30 years at the local level has been in too long. Not saying anything here about the Congress critters or federal judges.

  1. Congrats Ryan Frazier! The Judge chose to be fair and equitable to Frazier in light of the irregularities and rejected signatures on petitions submitted his peers, Keyser  and Blaha. So far, Frazier's petitions haven't produced revelations of fraud in the spirit of a zombie or forgeries —- unlike Keyser. These GOP candidates have little time to hit a homer before the primary – talk about kicking up dust sliding into home base….

  2. Frazier is the rare black man in uber white Republican midst.  That alone finds someone to fund his, what seems yearly, quest to be elected as a Republican.  It is telling that the good people of Aurora decided to not elect him as mayor after his time as a council member.  Next he can try for RTD.
