Huh?…I don't remember seeing his name on the ballot.
Republicans have a Senate primary, Dems don't have any statewide primary, only natural the GOP's numbers would be higher.
As I pointed out before, I voted because of my support for Gail Schwartz, my support for two local candidates, Dave Edwards and Mel Mulder….and to record an undervote for my incumbent senator. You will most likely be, on the Democratic side, a dedicated voter to get up for this primary.
That will not be the case in the general, I trow.
Incidentally, Gail Schwartz and a plethora of Democratic Party officials and electeds will be in Grand Junction this week. The Troy Douglas Band, of which, your humble servant is a member (yes, we have a Facebook page), will be performing at a “Progressive Family Picnic” at Sherwood Park in Grand Junction on Wednesday, June 29th, from 5 til 9 PM. This will be an excellent opportunity for constituents in CD3 to get to know Gail and our other candidates. ….more at

Oh,no..I must make excuses!..this was a boring old recording session, NOT a performance… please keep that in mind. The lady with us,Lisa Lingo, has since moved on doing stuff solo and some with other folks, but Brian, Troy and I are having a blast working as a trio. We occasionally have someone sit in with us. This past week at Charlie Dwellingtons we were joined by a really fine mandolin picker, Scott Nelson, an old friend of Brians', who was in town from Indiana.
You just never know who will show up.
I was told Bernie voters were all brand new, excited about the process, and having a revolution.

Ah, good to know we can have tremendous trust in our SoS office and their ability to not only stop petition fraud, but to make sure every vote counts (more than once)!
In any case you'd expect a greater disparity since so many Dems have few to no choices throughout the ballot and Rs have so many in the top of the ballot race. Doesn't say much for enthusiasm for anyone on the R side.
In Lake County we have 2 Dem primaries. Turnout therefore is high. Without knowing final numbers I'll guess that our 600+ Dem ballots will be 35-40% of the total.
Of course, when the Secretary of State tallies them. your 600 votes will be 130 percent of the total.
Those are respectable non-final turnout numbers, particularly on the Democratic side where this is no major statewide contested primary race and relatively few open seats. The DA races and a few Colorado General Assembly races are the big contests, and they don't tend to attract high turnouts.
