It’s finally here. You’ve labored through months and months of long hours, endured sore knuckles and blistered feet, angry voters, angrier opponents, and fire-breathing supporters of your opponents.
And now, you wait.
For candidates, campaign staff, and volunteers, Election Day is a strange time; you want to do everything you can to help your campaign to the finish line, but there’s really not much left to be done. So you fidget. You make a few phone calls. Perhaps you wave signs at intersections. But mostly, you wait.
So to all of the candidates and campaign staffers throughout Colorado who have put their hearts and souls into one particular race — no matter the political party — take a bow. You’ve earned it. Thanks for everything you do.
