It’s been awhile since we did a Colorado Pols office pool, so here goes…
The winner of the Colorado Pols office pool will receive one free small button advertisement for an entire week – that’s seven whole days – that must be redeemed before July 1. You can do whatever you want with the ad, with some exceptions (sorry, no porn sites), and can use it yourself or donate it to a campaign or organization.
Here’s the question:
1. What will be the percentage vote breakdown in tomorrow’s Republican Party Assembly for Bob Beauprez and Marc Holtzman? [ex: Beauprez will get 45%, Holtzman will get 37%]
2. Tiebraker: Put the?Republican candidates in CD-5 in order of how they will finish at tonight’s Congressional Assembly [ex:?1) Lamborn, 2)?Crank, etc…]?
Don’t forget to submit answers to both questions.
Now here be the rules:
a. You MUST submit a valid e-mail address in your ballot (the e-mail doesn’t show up publicly). That’s not so we can send you spam, but so we can notify you if you won. If you want to set up a fake Hotmail account or something, we don’t care – we’re not interested in your real identity, only in that we can contact you if you’ve won.
b. The balloting closes at 4:00 p.m. today, May 19. Any timestamped entry that comes after 4:00 p.m. today doesn’t count.
c. There will be a pee test required so that we can test for steriods.
Okay…now cast your votes!!!

Interesting that hardly no one predicted a Crank victory. This is embarrassing for Lamborn.
I couldn’t agree more. This was his to lose and he did. Big time. I wonder if the constant stupid attacks over the last few days from the Lamborn camp had something to do with Jeff Crank’s resounding victory. Hey… I just want to be sure we beat Jay Fawcett soundly come November. Crank is running a clean campaign that reminds me of Reagan. I hope he continues to win, and win big.
Read elsewhere that Lamborn actually took the majority of El Paso County delegates – is this true?
It is true. Lamborn took more votes in El Paso County than Crank. Crank wasn’t expected to win though… Lamborn was supposed to really trounce him according to everything I read. So what does it mean when the state representative of 12 years can’t win overall in CD 5 and only wins El Paso County by a handful of votes? I think the margin was right around 40 votes – astoundingly close.
