Republican Scott Tipton, who is trying to unseat Democrat John Salazar in CD-3, is apparently no longer on television and has not made another significant TV ad buy…and he may not have the money to do much more. There is also no indication that the NRCC has bought time to play in this race.
Salazar, meanwhile, is all over the airwaves and has enough cash on hand to heavily increase his presence. All of this is a good indication that the race for CD-3 might not be much of a race anymore.

Now if the Beauprez toadies and the Musgrave grinches would just run out of money… I’m not even watching the local stations until the political season is over. Those “bwooohahahah, be afraid very afraid–there is evil out there-evel I tell you–Democrat evil ooooooo!” ads are so hypocritical and mud-slingingly over-the-top, not to mention nauseatingly repetitive, that I’m ony watching PBS and occasional cable stations. Who hires these ad hacks, anyway?
According to Totheright.org, Pat Stryker just put $720,000 into a 527 for radio and TV ads aimed at the 4th CD. Looks like things might be more interesting there than previously thought.
So, she dumps $720K into campaign hole. It’s her cash and her cash has done a ton of good for the Rams. Just wish she split the cash between Angie and Eric. I like Eric.
Tipton is on TV in Mesa County as much or more than Salazar. Front Range bias?
He could have gone off the air today, but Tipton was on all weekend and on during last nights Bronco game.
He’s off the air as of today
Will the line be adjusted to reflect this? It sounds like Tipton ran out of cash at a very bad time, especially with Salazar hitting hard.
Thank goodness the 3rd CD voters appear to have more sense than those of us in the 6th CD.
