We’re still re-reading the press release we just got from John Marshall to make sure we’ve got this straight. We’re pretty sure it’s not a prank.
“Some of us supported Referendum C because we believed it was critical to moving Colorado forward,” the letter reads. “Bob Beauprez’s Fiscal Accountability Plan is the next step toward keeping our State on course and fulfilling the promise of Referendum C now that it has passed.”
Read the whole amazing thing below the fold. After which, you might find the statement Beauprez made right after Referendum C passed, titled “Gubernatorial candidate says more money will not fix systemic problems,” interesting to say the least.
Again, we want to stress that this isn’t a misprint or an April Fool’s joke. We think.
Okay, seriously. This is a joke, right? Right? Maybe Bob needs a new campaign slogan: I’m Bob Beauprez, and I stand for…whatever.
Ref C Supporters Support Beauprez
Letter highlights Beauprez’s real-world experience and vision for ColoradoENGLEWOOD, CO — Dozens of business leaders, many of whom supported Referendum C, issued a letter today supporting Bob Beauprez to be Colorado’s 41st governor, citing his proven real-world experience as a dairy farmer, community banker, and legislator.
“Many of us supported Referendum C and we all are united in support of Bob Beauprez as Colorado’s next Governor,” the Business Leaders for Bob Beauprez said in their letter. “Bob Beauprez is the right person to lead our state. As the chief executive officer of a business, Bob has signed the front of a paycheck. He then took his proven pro-business skills to the U.S. Congress. He is the only candidate who has built a business, met a payroll, and actually created jobs.”
Beauprez was recently endorsed by the National Federation of Independent Businesses (NFIB) and has issued the Beauprez Fiscal Accountability Plan which calls for common-sense fiscal management and a long-term plan for improving how Colorado government operates.
“Some of us supported Referendum C because we believed it was critical to moving Colorado forward,” the letter reads. “Bob Beauprez’s Fiscal Accountability Plan is the next step toward keeping our State on course and fulfilling the promise of Referendum C now that it has passed.”

Wasn’t the basic premise of Marc Holtzman’s campaign that he alone opposed “C” and that Both Ways was a closet supporter of the referendum?
It’s been a good few days for the Little Fella: the GOP Powers-That-Be essentially dropped their harassing lawsuit without Holtzy having to pay them anything, BWB has probably peaked at 38% in the latest poll, and now this!
The only thing that could top all this is if Kristen tells him that the rabbit died…..
someone has created these fake myspace profiles for all the guv candidates. hilarious.
http://www.myspace.com/bill_ritterforguv
http://www.myspace.com/bob_beauprezforgov
is all the messages “they” are leaving each other.
And they both have good songs on their myspace page! Although, Fiorino challenging Ritter to a dance off may persuade my vote.
“The more probable a message sounds, the less new information it contains”.
At this point would ANYTHING from these guys surprise you?
So let me get this straight.
Beauprez and Ritter both supported Ref. C.
Beauprez and Ritter both have bad records on illegal immigration.
Beauprez and Ritter both want to raise my taxes.
Beauprez and Ritter are both pro-life.
I think I’m going to vote for the guy who ISN’T under FBI investigation since that seems to be the only distinguishing feature between the two of them.
Beauprez did NOT support Referendum C, but it sure is hard to tell these days. This press release makes it look like he did.
