Maybe the Denver Election Commission could try a coin flip in the next election. As the Associated Press reports:
The town of Dacono will learn this week whether it has a new mayor.
A final count of election votes gave Mayor Wade Carlson a one-vote lead over challenger Larry Johnston. A recount will be conducted this week.
Should the race end in a tie state law requires that a winner be picked by a coin toss or some other game of chance. The town of 3,300 is about 30 miles north of Denver.
The story says that a winner could be picked “by a coin toss or some other game of chance.” A coin toss is so boring – what would be the best way to decide a winner? Paper, rock, scissors?

how about an olde style gladiatorial fight to the death?
in Dacono it would have been a spaghetti eating contest. Place went down hill quick after the yuppies moved in.
