As Lynn Bartels of the Rocky Mountain News reports:
U.S. Rep. Doug Lamborn, R-Colorado Springs, has posted on his Web site, under “Flag Requests,” the following:
“If you are a resident of Nebraska’s First Congressional District, you may purchase a U.S. flag from the office of Rep. Jeff Fortenberry. There is no limit on the number of flags you may order.”
Huh?
Lamborn took office last week, and has set up a new Web site http://lamborn.house.gov/services.
He must have gotten some ideas from fellow Republican Fortenberry on what to post.

“Requested page could not be found”. Too busy serving the spiritual needs of CD-5 to put up a website.
http://lamborn.house…
What’s up now looks like a template..
Looks like it to me. Lamborn is a hypocrite.
Did Curt Cervany prepare his website for him?
Wasn’t it plagiarism that resulted in a recommendation to remove Ward Churchill from CU?
Franking is so specific about what can and can’t be on a web site. This is common practice for entering Members to utilize other Member web pages to set up theirs initially before Franking approves this that and the other. Besides, it’s a smart move to “borrow” when you are an entering Member. It allows you to hit the ground running while not waiting three or four weeks for Franking to get back to you. Why reinvent the wheel is what I say! Congrats to Lamborn for getting his site up and running even if there are a few things to work out before it’s perfect. Way to go!
Obviously just the original boilerplate. Look at his district address…
Can’t GOD help him out? He told him to go there after all…
Hitting the ground running is neat and all, but this is just embarrassing. Evidently it’s “common practice” for “entering members” to send dirty IMs to congressional pages – that don’t make it right.
A mountain backdrop, a blacksmith in a toga, and some giant bundled broccoli are interesting choices for the Nebraska state flag. So is the inclusion of the day, month and year of statehood, as if anyone wants to commemorate the creation of Nebraska.
…a pretty petty complaint, nay?
The idea was its just a funny thing. Don’t really see any complaining. Its a slow news day for local stuff.
Funny once the RMN reports it, Lamborn takes it off his website.
