The Democratic National Security Party, or the Democratic Union Party,  continues to scare the dickens out of thinking Americans.

  1. She surrendered to Syria?  Gosh, you’d think that would be in the newspapers.

Strangely, the House Speaker isn’t even mentioned in the article you reference.  Just Republicans talking about Lord Voldemort, and crazy Duncan Hunter crying that he wasn’t consulted.

Are you aware three House Republicans also just made the same trip to Syria?  I’m going to guess…not.  And they aren’t buying your spin either:

Rep. Robert Aderholt of Alabama and two other Republican congressmen went to Damascus out of a moral obligation to try and stop terrorist activity that is disrupting the region and endangering American soldiers, they said Wednesday.

In their first interview after returning Wednesday morning, Aderholt and Rep. Frank Wolf of Virginia showed little concern that President Bush feared the meetings with Syrian President Bashar Assad would be counterproductive to getting Syria to change its behavior toward Israel, Iraq and Lebanon.

“We understand the president and the State Department, but we are elected representatives for our constituents and we also have a duty to speak out on these issues,” Aderholt said.

Maybe if he’d worn a head covering like Ms. Pelosi (and Ms. Bush, and Ms. Rice), you’d be saying Rep. Aderholt had “surrendered?”

    1. It’s a full-on GOP parade now, including Rep. David Hobson (D-OH), and Darrel Issa (R-CA).  Rep. Frank Wolf (R-VA) doesn’t like your spin either:

I don’t care what the administration says on this. You gotta do what you think is in the best interest of your country,” said Rep. Frank Wolf of Virginia, who was part of the delegation.

No worries; I’m sure Rush will have brand new marching orders for you today.  Good luck!

      1. That you completely missed the point!  The jist of the article is how Democrats are sending the wrong message to terrorists!  Read the article again.  Democrats want to remove the phrase “global war on terrorism”-yeah, that’s a great idea.  The terrorists want the world to think that this is America’s globalism or a war against Islam.  What else should we call it?  Should we call it “war against Islam”?  Wait, let’s not call it a war!  Yeah, then Democrats can say they fulfilled their campaign promise!  “It’s not the war in Iraq, it’s the Iraq stablization project….see, we ended the war.”

If you think the public is reacting negetively to Republicans calling the war in Iraq part of the “war on terror”, imagine how people are going to react to Democrats wanting to remove the phrase.

Democrats are going to get themselves ousted from power real quick with these kind of stupid moves.  Democrats are making the same mistakes that cost Republicans their power.

    2. I guess I’m all wet.

The Washington Post and Wall Street Journal published editorials blasting Pelosi’s “foolish” trip to Syria. The Journal published an op-ed piece by the former chairman of the American Bar Assn.’s standing committee on the law and security, pointing out the Speaker’s felony, which imposes a prison term of several years.

YOu can go to Technorati.com and find plenty of bloggers discussing our traitorous and power-hungry speaker.

It’s one thing for a member of congress to visit another country on a fact finding mission, its something else when the speaker embarks on her own foreign policy tour.

The Speaker continues to show her limitations, which are bigger than she is.
