They did their duty which was a futile and suicidal attack against the Japanese carriers in obsolete planes. Only 1 pilot survived.
But in doing so, they brought the Japanese CAP down to sea level (and had them scattered all over the area), leaving the late arriving dive bombers a clear shot at the Japanese carriers.
The Battle of Midway is the greatest American naval victory in history. The exemplify the best in our military.

There are many things about Mitt that are sad. Like the fact that he suddenly discovered the sanctity of human life when he turned 55 years old. Mitt’s credentials as a NRAman are not quite as laughable as Dukakis 20 years ago riding in the tank, but they very close.

The guy also rejected the appeal to his rejection of the motion, saying such a ruling is “unappealable”. Anyone from Texas know the rules? If he is right that is pretty crazy, none of the articles I have read say if he really was within his legal bounds. You have to love Texas.
