GOP "Census"

  • by: todda

A Republican neighbor just recieved a survey from the GOP. The survey’s purpose is to identify what issues will motivate their base and help to rebuild their party. As my neighbor said, “If the Republicans stopped worrying about rebuilding their party and started worrying about the USA, they would have a chance next year.”

Here is a link to the survey: http://immigrationfa…

The mosting interesting question is the one they didn’t ask. There isn’t a single question that mentions Iraq.

  1. Please tell me it’s a joke.

It’s not?  They’re spending how much money sending these things out?  I can’t believe they’re sending these to “a select few” Republicans; it’s basically a rah-rah sheet (well, five rah-rah sheets…) with a donation pledge at the end.  It’s not like this “survey” contains questions to which they expect surprising answers – they’re all framed questions.  And it’s not like they need to know who voted in the last several elections – they have that in their databases…

I especially love the donation part: check one of (Yes, here’s my membership), (Yes, here’s $11 bucks I didn’t ask you to spend but I’ll reimburse you out of pity), or (No, I am a scum-sucking traitor to this nation).

    1. I think that last question is how they are going to “disqualify” a lot of surveys. If you say, yes, you are agreeing to send a check. If you say no, you are saying you support the “evil” Democrats. If you don’t answer, “sorry, you survey was incomplete so we didn’t count it.”

      1. We get these things frequently. They’re just a fundraising device, and they’re not working very well right now for the Repulsive Republican Radicals.

        1. The one they sent out after the 2006 state convention took ten hours.  That one was “we’re sorry and tell us how to make it better”…I don’t think that one had a donation slip

    1. The only surveys I seem to get from the Dem side of the aisle are the ones that seem more like (partisan) issue polling, minus the money request.  My fund-raising letters all come without the 4 extra pages of crap.

  2. I get enough usless junk mail.  Why do these guys think this is going to get them any money with the way they keep flipping everyone west of the Potomic the finger?
