17 Feb. Update: Terrance Carroll has decided to run again for Chair. See my comments below.
The CD1 Re-Org will be Mar. 8th at the Convention Center.
Since the current Chair has become Speaker of House, he has enough on his plate and has decided to not seek another term as CD chair.
I informed the state party and Congresswoman DeGette’s office of my intention to run yesterday.
If you are a member of the CD1 Central Committee. I would be honored if you would vote for me.
So far, I am unaware of any other candidates, but it is still a month away.

…now you are running for CD1 Chair? How does that compute? Will you take any and all offices available?
I was only waiting to confirm that Terrance was indeed not going to run for it again before saying anything publicly about it.
I am now informed by Congresswoman DeGette’s office that Speaker Carroll has changed his mind and has decided to run for Chair of CD1 again.
It is not my intention to challenge Speaker Carroll. There are two other elected officer positions in the CD: Vice-Chair and Secretary. I will, in all likelihood, seek one of these positions instead.
To the best f my knowledge no one else is runing. However, will all party offices, niminations can, and sometimes do, come out of the blue.
The party needs more dedicated people like Dan.
