weren’t they bad in 2006? Given the close nature of his race maybe he isn’t the SoS anyway.
The GOP should call for Ritter’s resignation based on his sell out to unions and his general incompetence.
RR must have know you were in the wings.
Ritter’s incompetence? You gotta be joking. Far more competent than Owens, who was a sellout to the paving lobby and other interests.
In case you haven’t noticed, in this country we tend to not shoot or recall our officials because we disagree with things that that did. Oh, yeah, unless its a blow job between Democrats.
But I suppose such facts are lost on you.
Ritter won in a landslide
Because we all know that Unions are evil and that workers have NO rights. It’s better to have people working in office who are in the pockets of the Oil and Gas industry.

He’s trying to do two jobs: Run elections and get elected. And he’s kind of sucking at both. His SoS scandals are not winning him any votes, and the security of the 2008 election in Colorado is definitely questionable at this point…
Coffman may have seemed like he had more experience or at least that little (R) after his name on the ballot, but we should have had Ken Gordon in there all along. He had a better plan and was willing to put this job first and foremost.
As a proud republican, I am so disappointed in Mike. I do not agree that he should resign, but rather pull out of the CD-6 race and focus on getting the voting machine mess taken care of. He made this bed, now he should sleep in it.
And he admits he’s made some mistakes. Voters will see him as a guy who shoots straight, and thats what we want in a Congressman.
All of this will be forgotten by primary day.

You’re absolutely right. But right or wrong has nothing to do with it. This is politics.
I just think the Colorado Democratic Party would want to leave him right where he is as a poster boy for Republican incompetence.
I get that politics are politics, but would the Colorado Dems really be that selfish? We need an SoS who works for all of Colorado, in a nonpartisan fashion, not just an R or a D working for their party. (Yes, I’m dreaming.)
There are plenty of other examples of incompetance on both sides of the political spectrum. We don’t need an example in charge of the elections! We need someone who cares.
Bring in Ken Gordon.
A fair impartial election is more important than a bit of partisan advantage.
There’s partisan politics, and then there’s duty to our country (state, local government, etc.). Coffman has landed us in “don’t trust the system” territory, and that’s no good for the state or country.
I was simply paraphrasing Carville’s Law: “Never interfere when your opponent is in the process of self-destructing.”
All you have to do is listen to Gordon on the tube. He’s out in left field, and I wouldn’t trust him for a minute. He’s a machine politician.
