Okay, Now Where are the Parties?

  • by: Colorado Pols

We normally don’t reserve a post for public announcements, but we’ll do so with this one. All you candidates and campaigns out there: help all the other hard-working activists and campaigners find you.

If you’re having an election-night party, feel free to post when, where and who in the comments section below.

  1. Join the fun at tonight’s Yes on C/D Victory Party.  Details:

    WHAT:  Election Night Celebration

WHEN:  Tonight, 1 November, 7:01pm (after the polls close)

WHERE: Pinnacle Club (formerly The Petroleum Club) 555 17th Street, Suite 3700. On 17th Street between Welton and Glenarm.  The 37th floor of the Qwest Building.

  2. In a very telling bout of symbolism, while the Special Interests for C and D will drown their sorrows amidst high society, No on C and D will be with the working man, drinking a beer:

Where: Jackson’s Hole in LoDo, 1520 20th St.
When: After the polls close, when else?

  3. Join Friends of Jill Conrad at the Celtic Tavern / Delaney’s Pub at 7:00.  Drink and food specials for Jill supporters, live Irish music starting at 8:30 (members of Bodha), and dessert donated by Udi’s!

Definitely the place to be on Election Night!

  4. Please save your comments for the open thread. We’d like to leave this section for the list of parties and celebrations so people don’t have to scroll through the commentary. Win or lose, a lot of people put in a lot of work – don’t forget to toast yourselves either way.

  5. At George’s West Highland’s hovel upon the utter and definitive defeat of C & D, where the ghost of Mike Pomponio (Google it Voyegeur, Hick/Huck or ask Sir Gallagher!) still hovers through the earliest hours of All Hallow’s Eve through the first Tuesday of each November. Wild Turkey (101) promised to all. Oh, Councilman Garcia, sorry, but if you can’t get back to me since March of this year on a neighborhood issue, then, well, Mike just wouldn’t be happy to see you. Sorry.

  6. Doug Anderson for Lakewood City Council Ward 4 Victory Party is also at Cafe del Sol, 6th and Garrison (NE corner), Lakewood following the closing of the polls.

  7. No googling needed on Mike Pomponio, George.  I’m a friend and contemporary of Paul Sandoval. Pomponio was a legend in Denver politics of that era.  And I once helped save Gallagher’s seat, though I’ve more than once had reason to regret doing so.
