Come now, can you not catch the misplaced decimal point on yearly cable internet costs? I am disappointed.
There is no such thing as free. It’s paid for by taxes, or (the American model) ads, or subscription.
I think it is in Dubai, my friend was telling me, that anyone can log onto the city wide wifi network. But at one hour, they are booted off. You can set up a connection again, ad infinitum. If you don’t want to be disconnected, you pay a ver modest fee.
I have brought up this broad band issue on Pols in the days before you came on board, JO. Yes, we are WAY behind most of the civilized world in both speed and costs.
But hey, you know, we’re America, so we’re number one, screw the reality.
