State Representative Gary Lindstrom tried to float his name for governor yesterday and got the Denver Post to bite, albeit with a small paragraph buried in a local news briefs section. The Post obviously isn’t taking him seriously, and neither are we; Lindstrom is one Democrat who would have no shot at beating Bill Ritter in a primary. From the Post:
Democratic state Rep. Gary Lindstrom said Tuesday he is considering a run for his party’s nomination for governor.
Lindstrom, of Breckenridge, said he has been urged by associates to run because there “aren’t a lot of good, strong candidates out there who represent the things that we believe in.”
The only declared Democratic candidate is former Denver District Attorney Bill Ritter, who has drawn fire inside the party for his opposition to legalized abortion. Lindstrom said he favors abortion rights.
Give Lindstrom credit for one thing — at least he got a small mention for trying to float his name. And the “favors abortion rights” bit was a nice touch as well.

I heard recently that Bill Ritter is married to Pat Stryker. Is this true? That makes for some deep pockets.
No, that’s ridiculous. You can look it up on his website. Do a little checking on your own and use your brain.
That’s too bad. Gary Lindstrom is a nice guy and a good Democrat.
I guess we’ll keep looking for a candidate.
Pretty sad
Float your name and only get three responses, two of which incorrectly discuss your opponent’s wife. Well, that is a what a trial balloon is for.
