Is there anybody NOT running for the GOP nomination in SD4?

While updating my website (www.dan-willis.com) yesterday, I discovered there are now no less than 6 people running for the GOP nomination in SD4, the seat being vacated by Tom Wiens.

Here’s the list I have so far In no particular order):

Ed Brewer

Randy Reed

Mark Vanderbilt

John Denny

Michael Snider

Mark Scheffel

Brewer, Vanderbilt, and Denny are currently gathering signatures to petition on. They each will need 1000.

Snider has enquired about the petition process but has not submitted a petition format to be approved so he should not be circulating.

This leaves Reed and Scheffel to be banking on the Assembly process. Of course any of the others could try the Assembly as well and use the petition as a back up plan if it doesn’t pan out.

A Dem has also come forward to take on whoever comes out of the fray. His name is Joseph Alsup
