  1. I find this development as facinating from the Germans.  This is how WW’s get started … or, ended?

GERMANY ATTACKS US ON IRAN THREAT

BBC NEWS: (BBC.com) Iran restarted nuclear research this week
German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder has warned the US to back away from the possibility of military action against Iran over its nuclear programme.

His comments come a day after President Bush reiterated that force remained an option but only as a last resort.

Iran has resumed what it says is a civilian nuclear research programme but which the West fears could be used to develop nuclear arms.

Germany, France and the UK have led efforts to end the crisis peacefully.

Let’s take the military option off the table. We have seen it doesn’t work

The BBC’s Ray Furlong – reporting from Hanover – says there was an echo of his last election campaign three years ago, when his steadfast opposition to the use of force against Iraq helped get him re-elected.

Mr Schroeder directly challenged Mr Bush’s comment that “all options are on the table” over the Iran crisis.

“Let’s take the military option off the table. We have seen it doesn’t work,” Mr Schroeder told Social Democrats at the rally in Hanover, to rapturous applause from the crowd.

  2. It is no less amazing to me that this site does not have more advertising.  With as many political minded folks that turn to this website, might I suggest the people who run this site consider calling a few of the advertisers in the Colorado Statesman?

I am fairly certain that those advertisers would be very interested.  Oh, and 760, Air America, Randi and others would likely advertise in such a widely watched website.

    Just thoughts here …

  3. Thank the good Lord and all that is holy.  Bob Ewegen actually wrote a column that didn’t mention Refs. C & D.  Look back on his archive, and he must have written eight in a row on the subject.  You woulda thought he was on Katy Atkinson’s payroll. Bob, thanks for moving on!!!

  4. anybody else read the Denver Post editorial on the guv race today?

has it ever been more clear that the post is the most ignorant operator in colorado politics today?

  5. A novel idea.  Twice as many ads, half the cost, more visitors, hire more staff, grow the site, more ads, more controversal stories, more ads, more RMN stories, more money, more attention, grow website … WOW.  CAPITALISM!

  6. Phoenix –

If anyone has noticed, I like this website, “ColoradoPols.”  I obviously have spent a lot of my time online responding to opinions.  I am someone who strongly believes in “debate” and the dialetics, ie. philosophy.  I think it is wonderful to consider deep thoughts and opinions.  Everyone has a right to their opinions … culture is facinating to me and I think it is wonderful that people have “prayer wheels” and other faiths.  We should not discriminate against anyone for their wonderful imaginative thoughts.

SO, why not more articles from the Rocky Mountain News about ColoradoPols.  Jeepers, the world in the past has cruxified people for “thoughts.”  My goodness, look at Socrates as another example of GREATNESS.  Why should we discuss it ???

America is wonderful … my goodness, through all my pain of receiving my sight back, after being faced with a life of blindness, shouldn’t I have an opinion?  Journalism is a wonderful masterpiece … it brings people together.  AND, no matter if Albert Gore wanted to take credit for the Internet, (that was a gasser and full of laughter) we should aim for peace and a bit of tolerance.  LIVE AND LET LIVE … help everyone … and,

Lastly, BE HAPPY … LIFE IS GIFT LIKE NO OTHER …

PRAISE THE GOD THAT GAVE US THIS LIFE … and, treat others like they would also want to be treated …

Isn’t the GOLDEN RULE a WONDERFUL THING???

YES, I WAS BLIND, BUT TODAY I CAN SEE … ISN’T THAT AMAZING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    GOD BLESS AMERICA !!!

  7. Alexander McClure at Polipundit feels pretty good about BB…

Governor-Bill Owens, once a bright GOP star, is going into retirement, having presided over the humilliation of Colorado Republicans last year. Hopefully, he will go out of office at least with the consolation of having a Republican successor. The GOP candidate, Bob Beauprez, is considered a smart and saavy political operator. Not only has he won twice in a very closely divided district, but he enjoys institutional support and is an excellent fundraiser. The Democrats have a crowded field, and that should help the GOP as it attempts to sort through last year?s mistakes. While I have not seen any polling data, the indications are that Republicans are confident. (Lean Republican)
