    1. You left out Franklin Graham, Tony Perkins, Jerry Falwell Jr., Robert Jeffress, etc. (unless they’re there and I don’t recognize them). Also Mike Pence.

I might take Rex Tillerson out as he, along with H.R. McMaster and James Mattis, seem to be among the few sane voices in the entire Trump/Putin operation. I used to put John Kelly among that group until he fumbled the calls-to-deceased-soldiers-families affair.

  1. As Pols reported a couple of weeks back, former governor Bill Owens is involved in the effort to defeat a proposed city charter amendment in Broomfield. This weekend I saw multiple commercials on YouTube featuring Owens talking about how our proposed charter amendment is "a ban on energy development" in Colorado.

Bill Owens is a lying piece of shit. The amendment's language is milquetoast AF and "bans" exactly jack.

I was only here for the last couple of years of Owens' tenure as governor. Was he always an oil and gas industry pegboy or is that a more recent development?

Edit: n/m The answer appears to be “always an oil and gas industry pegboy.”

    1. The real 'ban on energy development' is the constructed monopolies by utilities and G&T's that keep wind, solar and biomass from reaching their full potential.  The amount/value of energy that could be developed from our vast (infinite) natural resources far exceeds the value of our fossil fuel resources – without all of the negative externalities.

        1. The oil and gas industry is still trumpeting how much they contribute to Greeley's economy, even while they shortchange on severance taxes, and cost millions in unreimbursed road maintenance costs, and now, health costs for venting methane near schools and nursing homes.

The industry wants a pity party for how much revenue they would lose with setbacks. And they simply lie about how many jobs their industry creates.  However they have no pity and no mercy for the lungs and brains of Greeley residents.

          1. Our oily friends have always lied about the impact of their "invasive" industry. They lie about everything, really. They exaggerate the size of their industry ( among other things, I presume), they lie about the negative impacts, they lie to their investors, they lie to landowners, they lie to royalty owners….

The old joke is…"How do you tell when an oil and gas man is lying?…his lips are moving."

It is time to send this bunch of lying thieves packing from our state. Oil and gas contributes less than 4% of our state economy…We don't need them anymore.

        1. Yep — no shit “whoa.”  A dip into that gene pool is definitely not recommended for the speedo or bikini crowd . . .

          . . . I’m thinking full-body hazmat suit with brief exposure times?
