At Least He's Not Your City Commission Candidate

For another visit in our long-running series, “At Least They’re Not Your Legislator,” we take you to Florida, where a Democratic candidate for City Commissioner (whatever that means) has allegedly gotten a little too much, um, exposure.

From the Orlando Sentinel:

The Miami-Dade County Democratic Party will stop campaigning for a Miami Beach City Commission candidate accused of recently exposing himself to a Democratic congressional candidate.

Chairman Juan Cuba told the Miami Herald on Monday the party will cancel digital ads and mailed fliers for Rafael Velasquez, who is on next week’s nonpartisan Beach ballot and denies the accusation by Commissioner Kristen Rosen Gonzalez…

…As first reported by Politico Florida, Rosen Gonzalez said Velasquez pulled out his penis in her car after the two had dinner on Oct. 18. She had endorsed him in the Group 2 race, and urged the party, labor unions, donors and voters to support him.

“I’ve had his sign on my lawn. I even told my daughter to vote for him,” she told the Herald.

“This is one of the hardest things I’ve had to do, because I stuck my neck out on the line for this guy with the party, asking them to support this guy, who’s now exposed himself to me in my car. I would love for my campaign to avoid this kind of scandal. But I have a choice: Do I allow this man to get elected, and have power, and whip his member out with an intern or with another woman?” [Pols emphasis]

Velasquez has denied the accusation, which he says is a political “smear” concocted by one of his opponents in next week’s election.

  1. ATTENTION MODERATUS:

ColoradoPols is exposing a creepy Democratic Party pol who was exposing himself. So stop playing the martyr whenever a Republican gets caught in flagrante and it's spread all over this site.

    1. Glorious intellectually superior Mod will think up of something else, most likely pointing out said candidate was a Democrat. This is obvious reason why should Colorado and whole US of A vote for the red party, because they are friendliest to comrades of comrade Mod. Especially comrade Putin.
