Stories about potential problems with petition signatures have been swirling across virtually every local media outlet in the last few days.
Republican Walker Stapleton announced this morning that his campaign for Governor will make some sort of announcement outside of the Secretary of State’s office at 11:00 am. We’ll update this story as soon as more information is available.

So, if problems with petition signatures have been swirling, did the SOS office just give Stapleton a swirly?
Sounds more like a wedgy
A David Duke endorsement, perhaps?
(. . . just for old time’s sake.)
Stapler's team heading to the press conference.
His leadership qualities are on full display……
Boy, that letter looks a lot like he just threw old Doug under the bus, too. Maybe not, though. I’m not finding the complaint, so it’s hard to tell if the same guy appears in both.
It’s gonna’ be an overtime day for Bartels spinning Wayno’s due diligence?
Is this finally the elusive
weapons of mass destructionfraud that SOS Williams has been so diligently searching for?Two major instances of fraud right under Williams' nose, and he never caught a whiff!
And this was the guy that gladly handed over all our voter info to the “Fraud” commission!
Should we be asking Dubya Stapleton about his pick for Lt. Gov.? You know, just to make certain we know what triggered (1) the decision to voluntarily withdraw his petitions, (2) the decision to go through the Assembly, and (3) Barry Farah's sudden decision to have other things to do than attend a scheduled debate. 'Cause, you know, his campaign for Gov. doesn't REALLY need any publicity or credibility in the week before the Assembly.
And just how soon will there be enough certainty to update THE BIG LINE? I'm figuring changes in Rep. Governor, Rep. ColoSprings-ish, and Sec. of State.
And have we had an update from Rep. Doug, or is he still staying with his earlier statement: "This lawsuit will be dismissed soon. I have spoken to the company that gathered signatures and have been assured that all applicable laws and regulations have been followed. I look forward to continuing this spirited campaign."
Kennedy Enterprises is definitely in need of tire rubber removal services after that letter. And yeah, this adds a lot to Lamborn's troubles.
