“A diseased eye does not see many things which do exist, and notes many things which do not exist. The same thing frequently takes place with regard to the force of words, when the critic is inferior to the writer.”

  1. Kris Kobach should be ready to unveil his new campaign slogan "Kansas is for Losers!"

A federal judge imposed on Wednesday more than $26,000 in sanctions against Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach as punishment for his "contemptuous behavior" during a voting rights case that challenged the state's proof-of-citizenship registration law.

Kobach, the state’s leading election official, is running in Kansas’ GOP primary for governor.

      1. Judge came back and said the responsibility was 100% on the government — but it would be nice if the ACLU and its allies would help out.

It has been another week — and still, there is no government plan. I wonder when the patience of the judge wears out and some sort of sanctions begin?

        1. It's a hard one.  Fining the government just fines the taxpayers.  How about we take one electoral vote away from Trump for e ach separated kid?

          1. I think an appropriate sanction would be to take an equivalent number of bureaucrats and separate them from their families, sending them somewhere so they can have a single-minded focus on the reunification.

Since many parents are apparently able to be found in Guatemala or Honduras, we can send them to those countries, providing tents for working and sleeping spaces.

            1. The bureaucrats would have to do their own security and pay their own bribes against the cartelistas and narcos, though.

              I like it.

The caption on the infographic from La Prensa says ” Central America – the influence of the cartels. After passing through the jungles of Costa Rica, Panama, and Nicaragua, the drugs arrive in Guatemala and Honduras, where two warring cartels fight over control of distribution.”

    1. Who woulda thunk that gathering hundreds of marginally sane gun freaks together into close quarters egged on with incendiary speeches by highly paid provocateurs would represent an unacceptable risk to insurers?

Negev, surely you can explain???  Was there a problem with the ruble to dollar exchange rate?

      1. laugh In behavior – management speak, the NRA’s dilemma here would be called,   “Letting them experience the natural consequences of that behavior”.

        1. Boy, I really hope Cuomo succeeds in killing the NRA (yeah, I know seems too good to be true).  But if so, I'll be the first to hop on a plane to visit the NRA's grave, so I can take a nice long piss on it devil

    2. I'll bet they miss Obama and Hillary now. Their foolish members kept freaked out and sending money each and every time Wayne Lapierre told them that Obama was coming to take their guns away.
