It’s time again for our regular Colorado Pols reader poll of the Governor’s race.
Remember: We want to know who you think will be the winner in this race, not who you support or who you would prefer to see emerge victorious. The point of this exercise is to track how perceptions of the race are (or are not) changing as Election Day nears.
Who gets to move into the Governor’s Mansion in January? Will it be Democrat Jared Polis or Republican Walker Stapleton?

Colorado ain't electing no fucking Bush cousins governor of Colorado.
Campaign coverage for one of two "Latest" items on Stapleton's campaign website, his speech at the Water Congress, via Google search for Stapleton Water Plan "Colorado Water Congress" for the past week. Hits returned were:
* colorado independent
* colorado politics
* vail daily
* gazette
* denverite
and a variety of Colorado Democrat sites. The VailCO water twitter account. Something on https://brianallmerradionetwork.wordpress.com/sitemap.xml
No Denver Post. No Ft. Collins or Greeley media. No Denver or Colorado Springs television.
Not exactly a huge media pick up.
Walker's only hope is the setback amendment gets on the ballot so it and a slew of tax proposals drive up conservative turnout
If that is Stapleton's hope it is a pretty thin one. While O&G will spend biggly to defeat the setbacks and to promote their amendment I am unsure that the bucket loads of cash will actually drive turn out instead of just swaying the few true independent swing votes. Do you have information showing past ballot provisions increased turn out for one side or the other?
There is a.lot of history showing that massive vote no campaigns help kill other items on the ballot. I think Don't Setback Colorado (a great name btw) will help doom the massive tax increases proposed at the state and local level, including, I devoutly hope, both of the misguided road tax measures.
Bu t issues are one thing, easily blended into a single vote no on everything sentiment. Yeah, it may boost the conservative base a little but how does that help Stapleton? Polis is fleet of foot and I think he'll find ways to exploit the deep split in the Republican Party.
I do fear the anti-setback backlash may hurt two fine candidates, Diane Mitsch Bush and Karen McCormick by boosting Republican turnout i n their conservative, pro energy, districts.
