"Fake Colorado Payback" Campaign Calls Out Walker Stapleton's Big Blunder

Just in time for Monday Night Football crowds to descend on Broncos Stadium this evening, ProgressNow Colorado, the state’s largest multi-issue progressive advocacy organization, unveiled a billboard and digital promotion campaign highlighting the dysfunctional Great Colorado Payback program, which has resulted in frustration for hundreds of Coloradans while Treasurer Walker Stapleton enjoys hundreds of thousands of dollars in free advertising.

“Walker Stapleton has used the so-called ‘Great Colorado Payback’ as a vehicle for free political ads,” said ProgressNow Colorado executive director Ian Silverii, “while Coloradans trying to reclaim their assets via the program have suffered delays and broken promises. Stapleton’s incompetent management of the Great Colorado Payback proves the old adage that Republicans say government doesn’t work and then get elected and prove it.”

A billboard at the entrance to Broncos Stadium at Mile High went up Monday to greet fans for tonight’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs:

At the Fake Colorado Payback website, fakecoloradopayback.com, voters can find impartial news reports and details about the failures of the Great Colorado Payback under Walker Stapleton’s management, including hundreds upon hundreds of redacted complaints and correspondence from Coloradans to the Treasurer’s office.

“Walker Stapleton had years to work out the problems with the Great Colorado Payback,” said Silverii. “Instead, Stapleton spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on advertising to benefit himself while Coloradans waited for their money. It’s a disgrace, and it raises the more important question: if Walker Stapleton can’t do his job as Treasurer, what kind of Governor would he be?”

    1. Nutter using the term lapdog on someone other than himself may be the funniest thing on the interwebs this morning.

Like the  #KavaNot testimony (where he’s playing to an audience of one, the ‘appointer’), we find your testimony here equally equally non-credible.

Given that half of your household budget is derived by Drumpfs appointment powers; and the other half from the federal government (too), shouldn’t you be adding a disclaimer each time you post here?
