What Republicans Do With A Majority

I found this via squarestate via Atrios via DP

Colorado Springs is a Conservative role model for a town. Not only is it a bastion of Christianity mixed with some Tea Party, now they’ll have less government interference in the form of

  • fewer police

  • no trash cans at the parks

  • nearly half of the street lights turned off

  • community and daycare center closures

  • massive reductions in park maintenance

    …and more

But one point I want to emphasize:

Broadmoor luxury resort chief executive Steve Bartolin wrote an open letter asking why the city spends $89,000 per employee, when his enterprise has a similar number of workers and spends only $24,000 on each.

As if working at the classy Broadmoor for a take home of about $1400 per month was a metric of dignity and hope for life. Steve Bartolin’s above statement is the Tea Party’s definition of Socialist. He claims everyone needs to be paid the same, unlivable amount no matter what they do or how long they’ve been doing it.
