At Least He Didn't Steal the Broncos' Logo

We’re not sure why an Oregon Senate candidate would steal the logo from an unsuccessful, unknown NHL hockey team (logo at right) from Ohio, but, whatever:

Oregon Senate candidate Marc Delphine loves America so much that his web team co-opted the Columbus Blue Jackets logo and made it their own.

            1. They initially had their mascot as an insect (like a yellow jacket) but lately they’ve been playing up the Civil War history angle given Ohio’s involvement in that war.

      1. As a candidate for US Senate, I am honored to have such a wonderful volunteer staff who is working tirelessly on our campaign for liberty. You should see the hard work each and every person is putting into the campaign. As you may have read recently, there was some controversy with regard to the logo that our campaign used on our website and other campaign materials. For the record, we in no way attempted to use the work of someone else without permission. I personally feel life is 10% what happens and 90% how you react to what happens and I believe we acted swiftly and with accountability. With a shoe-string budget and the loyal devotion of a strong team, we have again persevered. Remember, we don’t get all those funds that the big corporations throw at the two parties because big corporations know that our principles will not be sacrificed by bribes. This is a signature of our campaign, personal responsibility.

        1. Good Lord, a little overly dramatic, no? I mean, it’s not like his campaign cured cancer or won the Battle of the Bulge. They removed a logo that they somehow accidentally “liberated” from a hockey team.

I think that they not only attempted it, but they succeeded. Unless he’s saying that they did in fact ask the Columbus Blue Jackets for permission, or that it was just a magic accident that it was the same exact logo as a mirror image, then this is worth of being tagged a Diggs Brown Certified Non-Apology ApologyTM
