Preview of Coming Attractions: Doug Bruce Sort of Served

(Caught without his frickin’ sharks with laser beams? – promoted by Colorado Pols)

The Colorado Independent caught anti-taxer Doug “Dr Evil” Bruce (where else?!) at a ballot initiative hearing in Colorado Springs Monday. There he was in plain sight and then suddenly startled by the letter someone dropped in his lap after saying something low in his ear.

Here’s the punchline at the end of the Independent’s piece: “Calls to Bruce’s home went unanswered Monday.”

  1. After his daily talk with mom he knows anyone else who calls him is NOT a friend. He never needs to answer, only to initiate calls to his slumdwellers.

    1. So he has no friends

Oh, and by the way, does he look a little “pudgier” lately?  He’s letting himself go after realizing he won’t get that Russian bride.

    1. again to see when he is supposed to appear before the judge and then thinking hard about where in Latin America (or Pennsylvania) he’d like to travel on those same dates.

  2. Today’s ruling in Doe v. Reed (plaintiffs wished to block disclosure of petition signatures in Washington State):

Requiring people to stand up in public for their political acts fosters civic courage, without which democracy is doomed. For my part, I do not look forward to a society which, thanks to the Supreme Court, campaigns anonymously (McIntyre) and even exercises the direct democracy of initiative and referendum hidden from public scrutiny and protected from the accountability of criticism. This does not resemble the Home of the Brave.
