  1. Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays to everyone!

"In this blessed season, let not blind passion darken our counsels. We shall not solve a moral question by dodging it. We can scarcely hope to have a full Christmas if we turn a deaf ear to the suffering of even the least of Christ's little ones."

    ~Harry S. Truman

      1. From YouTube?

On the YouTube video page, click "Share," just under the video and choose "Embed."  Click "Copy," near the bottom right.

Type what you have to type here in the editor box, then click the "Source" button.  Paste what you copied at the bottom of whatever nonsense you see there.

  2. A. There is no Biblical or canonical direction to celebrate the birth of Jesus.

II. Jesus was born in October.

    3. If the head tax was eliminated, Jesus wouldna been born in the barn.

    D. Oreilly and Fox news is just an excuse to harrass women.

Cinq.  Happy Saturnalia, ya filthy animal.

    1. There is no evidence of when Jesus was born though the scrriptual tale makes October a fair guess.

Jesus was probably born in Nazareth.  There was no census requiring people to travel to their birth place.  Roman kept excellent records and there was no such census .

The Bethlehem story was made up to make Jesus look like the family of David, thus conforming to Jewish prophecy.

A head tax, when collected, was paid where you lived.  Nobody had to travel to pay such a tax.

      Trump Stinks!

      Happy Holidays.

  3. Christmas won the war against pagan traditions centuries  ago, by appropriating and absorbing them….Christmas isn’t Christian.

Whatever your ethnic roots or religious traditions, enjoy spending some time with family, relaxing, and being a little less selfish for a few days at the end of the year.

        1. She was discovered in her car in the parking lot of a Hobby Lobby in Lakewood, having no idea how to get home. I think it's time she relinquished the car keys.

  4. Giuliani is more jewish than Soros.
I don't know how that gets quantified, but maybe Kirk notanazi Widlund is more jewish than Giuliani.

I don't bother with ethnic/racial/religious/gender/income and the other isms that I am aware of  (Mostly. People who prefer the designated hitter are just inferior intellects and should not be allowed to further modify the art form that is baseball, Ray.).  Maybe Kirk notanazi will explain somewhere sometime. Maybe.

    1. I don't know how that gets quantified.

Maybe Rudy’s convinced himself, or maybe an ex-wife or three told him, that he must have had more removed during his bris??? . . .

    1. Her little tweet thread is the best:

    1. So, what public pensions are out there besides PERA?  PERA's last report shows

The state’s unfunded liability increased last year despite recent reforms to how the state funds pensions. The funding ratio is at 59.8 percent in 2018, down from 61.3 percent the previous year.

The pension fund’s unfunded liability stands at $31 billion in 2018, up from $28.8 billion the previous year.

PERA’s decline in investment returns means workers will have to pay 0.5 percent more into the fund starting July 2020, and annual benefit increases will be reduced by 1.25 percent.

Either there is a heck of a lot of public plans which are in truly awful shape to drive the average down, or there are multiple accounting schemes to describe "unfunded."

  5. Fracking boom tied to methane spike in Earth’s atmosphere

Scientists have measured big increases in the amount of methane, the powerful global warming gas, entering the atmosphere over the last decade. Cows or wetlands have been fingered as possible sources, but new research points to methane emissions from fossil fuel production—mainly from shale gas operations in the United States and Canada—as the culprit.

The “massive” increase in methane emissions occurred at the same time as the use of fracking for shale gas took off in the U.S., says Robert Howarth, an ecologist at Cornell University and author of the study published Aug 14 in the journal Biogeosciences.

“We know the increase is largely due to fossil fuel production and this research suggests over half is from shale gas operations,” Howarth says in an interview.

    1. Professor Howarth was one of the very first to research and publish cradle to grave data on natural gas pollution. His groundbreaking research showed that natural gas is only cleaner when burned…not in its totality. The extraction and distribution process more than makes up for the emissions saved during combustion.

Efforts by the American Petroleum Institute to mislead notwithstanding, natural gas IS NOT, NEVER HAS BEEN, and NEVER WILL BE a clean fuel. Period.
