Poll: What's the Best "Buck Backpedal" Descriptor?

  • by: Colorado Pols

We discussed the day before yesterday the swift pace at which GOP Senate nominee Ken Buck is running away from various strident positions he took during the primary, as in the “private sector” being much better at running Social Security, and how he was, um, not paying attention or something when he endorsed eliminating direct election of U.S. Senators.

Anyway, since there are a number of big, nasty on-record moments lurking out there yet to be abandoned, several suggested descriptive terms have been forwarded to us to keep the process mnemonic and orderly–a last name like “Buck,” we’ll concede, does inspire some creative choices. Rather than pick the wrong one, a poll of our astute community follows–“Buck-track?” “Buck-flip?” “Going Buckwards?” Here’s your chance to, if you will, spin the spin.

How would you describe Ken Buck's recent flurry of position reversals?

    1. Buck you: telling one to retrack on themselves

Go Buck yourself: Encouraging one to engage in the act of self contradition

Mother Bucker: One who commits unspeakable acts of flipfloppery to their mother

Bucktard: Supporter of mentally defective, gorked politicians. See also: tea-bagger

  1. Buck’s minor clarifications of his positions hardly compare to Bennet throwing Obama, Washington D.C., and virtually all of his supporters under the bus for political gain.

      1. He railed at Washington D.C., saying what’s going on there is not what Coloradans want, after running his entire campaign off of Obama and big money from Wall St. banks.

        1. of Senate rules and procedures. You are wrong again BJ. You can have a cookie anyway. I know the positive reinforcement won’t help you learn but why should I care about your ignorance? After all, you’ll be paying for social security benefits for many of us for the next 50 years or so. Thanks for that.

          1. But in all seriousness, did you miss Obama endorsing and campaigning for Bennet, while Bennet rubberstamped every one of Obama’s bills? Where have you been?
