I think Barr is trying to get ousted.
Perhaps he has done the math and realized if he stays he could get disbarred.
I think this is just a thinly veiled PR stunt to give the impression of some daylight between Trump and Barr. He's still just a boot-licking sycophant.
👍👍
He is getting heaps o’ shit from the rank and file and I suspect from federal judges as well. They are next.
Would it ironic or comical or just plain reasonable if Trump now decided to try to remove a federal judge that he appointed, but that spoke out against him?
I mean what if a federal judge sought foreign financial contribution to rule a spcefic way for someone in front of the court?
Remember when Barr got nominated and told an interviewer (with cameras running) that he didn't need to bother with falderal like reputation and professionalism because he's old and already had his career? Good times, I tell you what.
While I understand that the cognitive dissonance is not something that Trump acolytes would ever understand or suffer from, but this is taking it to a new level. For four years, they have been chanting "lock her up" when Trump brays to them about Bill Clinton's brief meeting on an airplane with AG Loretta Lynch in which Trump claims (and Bill denies) they discussed an FBI investigation of Hillary's emails. Now, their president interferes with a criminal case pending against his own campaign manager and they cheer him on. It is a cult.
Yep … that was an incident that jumped to my memory, too.
You can also review the claims that Eric Holder was "too political".
The constitution clearly protects the Orange President’s:
Right to bear
armsSharpies, . . .freedom of
speechediting, . . .and freedom of [self] worship.
