Amendment 63 is costly and complicated. In fact, it is costly because it is complicated. The language of the amendment is ambiguous which will lead to lawsuits as we figure out what it means. For example, anyone who does not like a health care program run by the state of Colorado can pick a term from this amendment that does not have a legal definition, get a lawyer, and make the rest of us pay to defend the programs that we have created for ourselves.
Amendment 63 restricts the ability of the state of Colorado to create insurance pools which lower the cost of insurance for all of us.
Amendment 63 simply costs too much.
