Dan Maes' winning strategy for Nov. 2 (or, take a tip from Ken Buck and STOP TALKING!)

Our Boye Dan has put up a new video on YouTube

The 6:49 video is at

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lPkcNYNiNrc

Now, I’m no campaign manager (but I do have a background in PR), but this is a first-class blunder that should stay in people’s minds right up to 7 p.m. on Nov. 2

The title of the video is “Running the Good Race to the Finish”. The synopsis says this is a “quick review and winning on Nov. 2nd.”

One assumes that a quick review is just that – quick. But Maes spent more than 5 minutes, out of the 6:49 length, talking about all the scandals he’s been embroiled in. Why on earth would you want to remind people about your fluffed (or flubbed)-up resume from Liberal, Kansas. Or that Freda Poundstone gave you money? Or that you filed bankruptcy? Or that you over-reimbursed yourself out of your campaign donations?

YIKES!!!!!!

The last 1:45 of the video is not really about why people should vote for Maes – it’s a diatribe on why people are sick of bureaucracy or some such thing. I didn’t listen quite as closely at this point – I was picking up my jaw from off the floor from what I heard in the first 5:05.
